Reflection We started our our Chemistry and Lab lesson today by looking at the next few chapters, mostly on theory, of The Joy of Chemistry. We moved on with an experiment where we made Lye and then looked at a reaction between the Lye and copper and aluminum wire. Next we looked at some more theory, explaining what we'd need to understand the basics. After that, we did another experiment where we looked at the reaction between a copper sulfate solution, an iron nail and a zinc-coated iron nail. Reflection For our Study of Physical and Political Geography today, we started by looking at our homework from last time, which was to make up our last folder, write a piece about, in my case, the flower industry, and to make a cartoon about problems in the banana industry. Everyone did really great! After that, we moved over to the hall and practiced our presentations. Everyone was great again, but Hunter definitely wowed us with his short, one-man play. For my art today, Pete showed me a pair of 3d glasses which make different colors pop out more than others. Then we created a piece that took advantage of that technology to create a 3d effect. I created a pool table with pool balls that were 3d, and I was struck by how this 3d effect could be used to create eye-catching adverts that look normal until you put on the 3d glasses.Resources
